Thou Mayest

Thou Mayest has many locations but the location I visited today is the one located in the Nelson Atkins Museum. The inside is really clean and modern and has almost a sterile feel to it. I do really like it though since you get a nice view of the the front of the museum and lots of light. They have a very traditional menu, I didn't see any seasonal drinks but that could just be limited to this location. Thou mayest also has another location in the river market of down town that may have more options but I haven't visited that spot yet. This afternoon I opted for a sparkling americano, which is not on their menu but they where happy to make it! There was only one barista on bar which was an interesting change. Usually there are two but they where really sweet and gave me a tip to get my drink with the Topo Chico instead of the Liquid Death if I prefer something with a little more fizz. This might be my new go to drink. It is the rougher, less refined cousin to a nitro cold brew, it defiantly has an edgier flavor since it is an americano and the sparkling water gives it more of a kick than a smoother flavor while still being really enjoyable.  I really like the space inside since it is really minimal, and there aren't many distractions in the coffee shop space, but you are free to explore the rest of the museum if you need a little brain break. Seating wise it can be a little difficult to get a seat when busy during the rush but there are some nice big tables by the door and some seating hidden around the corner of the room. Its relatively quiet here so its great place to sit and get some work done, or a nice neutral area to decompress after walking around all of the galleries. I highly recommend this spot and will defiantly be coming back.
