The Roasterie - Brookside Cafe

The Roasterie Cafe located in Brookside is the the nicer more quiet counterpart to the roaster cafe located on Southwest Boulevard. This is a cute cozy local neighborhood coffeeshop. The perfect place to get comfortable in the corner with your laptop or a good book and get some work done. The coffee there is always good and, the space is relatively quiet when ever I have visited. The baristas are nice and welcoming and they have a huge pastry selection as well as a very broad selection of flavors and syrups. They even have nitro cold brew on tap and a huge seasonal menu too. This time around I got a matcha tea instead of a matcha latte, which was a nice change of pace, and a S.Pellagrino. I haven't had matcha tea on its own before and I though I would give it a try since this is the first time I have seen it offered. It had a grassier taste then I expected that was not accompanied by the smoothness of milk. Honestly I don't think I would try it again but it was nice to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. I love this location because its in walking distance to my house and its really nice to have a place down the road to go to when you get tired of staring out the window by your desk and they always have seating available. There are many seating options inside and outside as well as bar seating and a lounging area. They even have garage doors that open up when the weather is permitting which was new to me this time around. I think that this is a really cute coffee shop that has a really cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend it!
