Rochester Brewing Company

Rochester brewing company is a lively coffeeshop and bar located in downtown Kansas City. Now I've been here before, and unfortunately I didn't have the best experience, but I decided to give them another try this time around. They have a substantial drink menu, with lots of coffee options, a seasonal menu and even more if you are interested in beer and other alcoholic beverages. The baristas this time around where very nice and were happy to answer any of the questions I had about the menu. When I went in today I decided to try their seasonal strawberry iced mocha with almond milk. It was scrumptious! Honestly I think that strawberry syrup is one of my favorites and this is one of the two coffeeshops I know of that have it. I actually was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a live show going on when I came in on a Wednesday evening. The atmosphere was warm, homey and filled with beautiful music for everyone to enjoy. The space is huge, so even though there was a performance going on it wasn't distracting to get some work done. Both times I've come to this place its been very packed, but still perfect for studying. They have a frot area that has lots of tables, some lounge area seating and a bar by the window but if you keep going around the corner to the back you will see that they have a huge section just filled with tables very spaced apart. So even thought might be busy and buzzing with people you still have space to spread out your stuff and crank out some work. Also it helps if you like the ambient coffeeshop chatter because there is lots of it here. The feel of this shop is very trendy with some plans up from and some cool art on the walls. Honestly this shop isn't as bad as I thought it was . I really like it and I would defiantly come back again!
